Your Claim

Welcome to Churchill online claims

If you’ve had to cancel your holiday or cut your trip short due to Coronavirus (Covid-19), you should be covered by your Churchill Travel Insurance.

Things to note
Before we process your claim, you must provide proof that you’ve contacted your travel provider to see if a refund is available.

If you paid by credit card you may be protected under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and should contact your card issuer for further information. Similarly, if you paid by debit or charge card you should contact your card issuer for advice as you may be able to make a claim under their chargeback rules.

If you’re cancelling your trip following Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice, and you were due to travel within the next 28 days, we can process your claim. If not, please come back when you’re within 28 days of your planned journey.

If you’ve already started your trip but had to cut it short following FCO advice, we can only process your claim if the advice  was given after your departure, or after your policy started, whichever is latest.

If you booked your trip on or after 18 March 2020, we won’t be able to cover you for any claims relating to Coronavirus (as this was then a known event).
